LATHING
The company specialises in lathing with CNC machines and traditional machines. We have horizontal, vertical and integrex lathes that allow us to work on individual parts or directly from the machine. The maximum working dimensions are: diameter 700 mm and length 2000 mm.
MILLING
The experience gained over the years and the advanced technological upgrading of the devices enable us to perform high-precision milling on 3 and 5-axis machines. The constant upgrading of our tooltypes allows us to work a wide range of materials and achieve a high-grade surface finish.
- 3-axis with dimensions up to 1200 x 600 x 400
- 5-axis with dimensions up to 400 x 400 x 350
ELECTRO-EROSION
Where we can’t use milling and lathing, we make use of electro-erosion. Some parts and some types of moulds are perfectly suitable for electro-erosion processes. In Santiano we can perform die-sinking and wire electro-erosions with mechanical parts. The working dimensions are: 500 x 400 x 200 for wire, 550 x 350 x 350 for die-sinking.
SAND-BLASTING
Sandblasting is the best procedure to clean metal surfaces from all foreign agents or coatings that have deposited over time, and to ensure a proper base to absorb protective coatings on both used and new objects. In our plant there are two work stations where it is possible to sand-blast parts with dimensions up to 600x500x1000 mm.
HEAT TREATMENT
In 2008, the company installed a vacuum steel treatment facility in its interior.
WELDING
Our specialised operators are able to carry out welding of various materials on mechanical parts.
Zirconium Oxide Processing
We process parts in zirconium oxide by means of our special systems. We restore tools in zirconium oxide bringing them back to an optimum state, ready for reuse.
MEASUREMENTS AND TESTING
It is essential to perform conformity checking of mechanical parts with respect to required specifications. For this activity, in addition to the controls and measurements during the production phase, dimensional tests are carried out in an air-conditioned area using DEA measuring machines (measuring ranges 700 x 1000 x 700 and 1200 x 1500 x 1000) and a Mitutoyo profilometer.
